             With whom did I compete?

“Our world is a competitive world”.

A testimonial we have been hearing since our existence on this beautiful planet entitled earth. The statement is passionately accurate but the mistaken elucidation have lead only to the devastation of the human relation. The impact is on the two base:

  1.   Devastation of relation with my fellow mates.
  2.  Devastation of relation between me and my self.

Competition is widely indispensable for survival. The Darwin theory in itself says that the organism evolved, the evolution in itself is a competition. If there wasn’t anything as such of competition human existence would have been in doubt.

Competition is widely obligatory but the competition was, is and should be only with the self and not with the fellow mate. An interpretative flaw.

What’s competition with self and why’s it necessary?

Xavier, a student wants to be the fastest man on this terrain. What’s the vital criteria? Merely nothing but to triumph the gold medal in Olympics. This benchmarks have been termed today as competition which isn’t a competition at all but merely a "contest".

Competition is something that pointers us to the requisite of the contest. Competition is something that enhances the proficiency of an individual. How to increase this proficiency? It gets enhanced if in the accurate sense we compete with the self. For instance if Xavier has the speed of 10 unit he should try to increase the speed to 15 unit, breaking his earlier barrier of 10 units and from there on 15 - 20 and later 20 - 25 until and unless he doesn't satisfies to be able enough to run in olympics.

This completion with the self is known to be actual competence in its true nature. But in the world that we live by Xavier comprehends that his friend Ashish is with the speed of 12 unit then I need to enhance my competence only till 13 to beat down and terms it to be competition. Which in its actual sense isn’t enhancing Xavier but devastating Xavier relationship with self and his ally wherein he limits self instead of reaching to the inherited paramount. And he tries to make Ashish look down resulting to the devastation of relation with ally.

This sense of amalgamated contest and competition should be disjointed as in order to make one learn to compete with the self more and contest with others less. So that there can be harmony with self and society.

Comparing self with others is noble enough to make understand the velocity of the competition one has to be with self. But that comparison shouldn’t turn as our competition. Lets start competing with self and reach altogether to zenith in peace and happiness.

Lastly I would like to conclude by intensive motivating words from Mohammed Ali the legend:
I dont count my sit ups; I only start counting when it starts hurting because they are the only ones that count.

Signing off,
Ash
Your ally next door.... :-)
